The Israel Antiquities Authority invites the general public for short tours of Tel Chadid on Chanukah.
Tour of Tel Chadid, an archeological site that has been excavated, with discoveries from the Early Bronze Age and other ancient periods.
During the tour you will visit a cistern, a large winepress, agricultural equipment and at the top of the hill the remains of a recently discovered Hasmonean fortress.
Bring closed shoes, long pants and a bottle of water. The trail is not suitable for strollers.
Suitable for ages 5 and up.
Length of tour: 90 minutes.
