On Friday 3/3/23 Modiin will be celebrating Purim with its traditional Purim procession.
The procession will take place on Emek HaChula, starting on the Maccabim-Reut road (Derech Yair Parag) at the northern part of Emek HaChula, turning back at the Nehar HaYarden junction and finishing at the Amphi Park.
Between 09:00-16:00, the following streets will be closed for driving/parking:
- Both sides of Emek Hachula from Derech Yair Parag to Nachal Iyun (The Country Center).
- Nachal Ga'aton (in the direction of Emek HaChula) will be closed at the junction with Nachal Netafim until 14:30
- Nachal Tavor will be closed until 14:30
- Emek Yizrael (East) will be blocked at the junction with Nachal Bezek up to the corner of Emek Hachula.
- Emek Yizrael (West) will be blocked at the junction with Emek Dotan up to the corner of Emek Hachula.
- Nachal HaYarmouch will be blocked at the junction with Emek Yizrael.
- Nachal Tzin will be blocked at the junctions with Emek HaChula, Nachal Paran, Nachal Chever and Nachal Sorek - residents of the streets Nachal Tzin / Nachal Paran / Nachal Kidron / Nachal Snir will be able to access their homes from this closure on presentation of their updated ID card with address.
- Nachal Paran will be blocked from the junction with Emek HaChula (entry and exit for residents of Nachal Paran via Nachal Tzin only).
- Nehar HaYarden will be closed at the junction with Emek HaEla south until 14:30.
From 14:30 Emek HaChula north will open to traffic from Yair Parag to Sharbat Center in both directions and Emek HaChula south will open to traffic from Azrieli Mall to Nehar HaYarden.
Residents of Givat C and Buchman are advised to reach the center of town through Derech HaChashmonaim and not via Nachal Tzin and Nehar HaYarden.
Update for residents of Emek HaChula: there will be no entry or exit for cars for residents of Emek HaChula from 09:00-16:00. There will also be no parking along the road. Residents are requested to park their cars in their private/interior parking lots of their buildings and organize themselves accordingly.
Cars parked on Emek HaChula on the day of the event will be towed.
Disabled Parking
Entry for cars with disability sticker will be through Emek HaChula from the direction of Yair Parag against the direction of traffic (Emek HaChula south) up to Merkaz Sharbat. At Merkaz Sharbat there will be an accessible viewing area opposite house number 28.

Public Transportation
Between the hours 09:00-16:00 there will be changes in the routes and timetables of public transportation both within the city and on inter-city routes.
