Number of Residents in Modiin Maccabim Reut - The City in Numbers April 2013

On Israel's 65th Independence Day, there are 85,050 residents in Modiin Maccabim Reut, compared to 82,081 residents on the last Independence Day - according to the municipality's population registry.

The data shows that the number of men and woman in the city is almost equal, with 42,680 women and 42,350 men.

A matter of age

The breakdown of the population between ages once again shows how young Modiin Maccabim Reut is, with an average age of only 32:

• Ages 0-5: 11,392.
• Ages 6-12: 13,899.
• Ages 13-17: 7,890.
• Ages 18-21: 4,656.
• Ages 22-40: 20,993.
• Ages 40-60: 20,115.
• Ages 60+: 6,085.

443 of the city's residents where born in the year Israel was created, and will be celebrating their 65th birthday this year.

There are 2 residents who are 99 years old, 6 who are 98 and one who is 97.

At the other end of the age scale, 1027 new residents were born during the last year and are not yet 1 year old.

Number of citizens per neighborhood

• Avnei Chen - 11,035.
• Nechalim - 9,916.
• Mesuah - 9,648.
• Meginim - 8,366.
• Prachim - 8,318.
• Kramim - 7,596 (compared to 6,166 one year ago).
• Nevi'im - 6,252.
• Moriah - 6,415 (compared to 5,614 one year ago).
• Shvatim - 5,967.

In addition, there are 6,795 residents in Reut and 3,022 in Maccabim.

Where they came from

• Jerusalem - 7,351.
• Tel Aviv - 2,947.
• Lod - 2,388.
• Rishon LeZion - 1,828.
• Ramat Gan - 1,515.

Also, for the first time in the history of the city, the number of new olim has passed 10,000, with 10,297 residents defined as olim - over 250 of whom made aliyah to Israel in the last year and have made the city their home.
