When Pop and Classical Music Meet. Gil Shohat hosts Arik Sinai, for the closing show of the music festival "Tzlilei Stav".
Since its release in 1980, and featuring arrangements and compositions by Matti Caspi, David Krivoshei, Corinne Allal, and Shlomo Artzi, Arik Sinai's debut album made it clear that a rising star had emerged in the Israeli music scene.
Sinai's deep voice, woven into moving and popular melodies by the finest songwriters, gave birth to "Derech HaKurkar," "Mistovev VeShar," "Siba Tova," "BeSha'ah SheKazot," "Ha'Ayara Sheli," and many other beloved songs.
In this inaugural encounter between Sinai and Maestro Gil Shohat, these famous songs take on new meaning through Shohat's special orchestrations and his magical touch on the piano.
Additionally, Shohat will perform a world premiere of his orchestration to Mozart's Piano Sonata in A major, K. 331 (which includes the Rondo alla Turca), which he has transformed into a full concerto for piano and strings.
