02/03 : Voting to Hike in Neot Kedumim - Election Day 2020

Neot Kdumim, Route 443, between Modiin and Route 1 (see map)

On Election Day for the Knesset, vote with your feet!

Neot Kedumim invites you to come and enjoy marked trails for self-guided (and accessible) hikes, a treasure hunt for kids, restored agricultural installations, rich and varied vegetation, shaded picnic areas, bathrooms, cold water fountains and more!

Take a break from the elections and make the easy choice, a family experience in the landscapes of the Tanach.

Neot Kedumim's election platform includes: a self-guided trail map that offers a choice between two interactive routes with explanatory signs, and a treasure hunt incorporating a challenge between the agricultural installation, water installations, and the flowers of Eretz Yisrael.

This is the time to choose between:

  • the short route, about 1.5 km long, accessible for strollers and wheelchairs, passing by the shaded botanical garden, thresher, olive press, the device for lifting water from the reservoir, flour grinder and more stations.
  • the longer route, about 3.5 km long, for those who love to hike, passing by the olive press, water well, ancient living quarters, wine press, mikve, device for lifting water from the reservoir, flour grinder, thresher and more stations.

The trails are accompanied by a treasure hunt for the whole family. Visitors will solve puzzles and perform tasks related to ancient agriculture, water installations and plant life that were an inseparable part of the world of our forefathers, will try to find out their height using an ancient measuring system, figure out how water was found in the period of the Tanach, how much water a family needed, find out what tools were used in the thresher, solve a riddle in ancient Hebrew script and many more experiences and discoveries.

No matter what you choose, you'll definitely enjoy!

Monday 2/3/20, 08:30-16:30 (last entry at 15:00).

Cost: 25 ₪ for adults, 20 ₪ for children ages 4-18.
