HaStudio LeShachmat - Chess Studio

Chess classes during school hours and afternoon chugim, as well as Kaytanot and birthday parties.

Focusing on fostering independent thinking, imagination, and creativity, as well as the development of mathematical thought, thinking outside the box, initiative taking and many more of the skills that compose daily life.

The Studio is run by Eliyahu (Ilan) Cohen, who has 20 years experience in education.

Afternoon Chess Chugim

Students usually join the Chess Studio chugim after learning chess in school or in the Talan afternoon chugim, during which they have already acquired basic chess skills and love for the game.

The role of the studio is the leverage this basic knowledge into a strong and stable structure of self leadership in daily life as well as, of course, high professionalism in the game of chess.

Chugim take place on Sundays and Wednesdays:

• 17:00-18:00 - first year beginners and advanced players
• 18:00-19:00 - second and third year advanced players
• 19:00-20:00 - chess studio team

It is important to note that after the first class the participant's level will be assessed in order to make sure they have been allocated to the best possible group for them.

Chess Classes in Schools

Chess and life skills program carefully constructed over the years by Ilan Cohen and the Chess Studio team, and added to the curriculum in schools just like maths and English.

The goal of the program is to offer every child in Israel an equal opportunity to get to know the King's Game, make them fall in love with the game, and learn the basics in the best way, and in parallel teach them self leadership through real life examples demonstrated though the game of chess.

August Kaytana

Kaytana for ages gan chova - kita gimmel, that combines chess, sport and life skills. Strategic thinking and chess workshops with sports challenge activities, movie days, craft workshops and ball games. The kaytana has been taking place with much success for the last 19 years!

Shows for birthday parties based on the book produced by the Chess Studio 'HaMelech Hu Ani' - interactive and fun show that the children will love!
