The favorite children's story about the kind-hearted and beloved Frog King who lived in the swamp.

One day the king fell ill. The finest doctors examined him, investigated, and came to the conclusion that the king would be cured immediately only if he could smell the fragrance of a flower.

And so a delegation of frogs set out on a quest to find a flower that would agree to come to the swamp to heal the king.

Many flowers were asked to come, but they all refused for various reasons. The daffodil (Narkis) was the only one who agreed to take on the mission...

When the king smelled the daffodil's scent, he was immediately healed. "So the king removed the golden crown from his head and said: 'Thank you, dear daffodil! Put the crown on your head, for from this day forward, you are the king of the swamp.'"
