"When a song is born, it is born small and intimate, and then layers of instruments, sounds, rhythms and vocals are added, that combine together to become a complete and cohesive piece. But, sometimes when I'm on stage, I feel like peeling it all back off and presenting the song to you just as it was born in my studio, small and intimate and this is where the show tonight was born, presenting you with songs from all albums and periods, from the more familiar to the lesser known - just like the moment they were born in my studio, on piano, with guitar - as bare as possible.
