On Chol HaMoed Sukkot (22-23/9), the "Sukkot BaSdera" festival is being held in the new city center of Modi'in, with a variety of special street performances and live music.

The main street of the boulevard, Dam HaMaccabim, is used as a pedestrian street at the festival, so that on these days the street is closed for traffic from 15:00 until 23:00.

Also, the following traffic arrangements should be noted:

  • It is not allowed to park on the streets of Dam HaMaccabim and Rechov HaRakevet as of Wednesday 22/9 at 14:00.
  • Vehicles parked on these streets after this time will be towed.
  • These streets will be reopened to parking at the end of the festival, on Thursday 23/9 from 23:00.

Parking Arrangements for Festival Goers

Residents and visitors to the festival have access to a number of public parking lots, near the city center boulevard with hundreds of regulated parking spaces.

On the occasion of the festival, free parking will be available in the new underground parking lot of Moadon HaGrey, on 26 Tiltan Street, which has 500 spaces.

As is well known, there are public car parks where parking is free for city residents provided that they have a resident parking permit. Parking for visitors from other cities and for residents who do not have a parking permit will be paid for via one of the parking apps (Pango or Cellopark).

These car parks are:

  • The municipal parking lot located in front of the Iriyah (1 Tiltan Street)
  • Anava North parking lot (the parking lot near Caffit - Sderot Emek Zevulun 3).

Additional free car parks available at the festival are:

  • Central train parking lot on Emek Zevulun 3
  • Lev Ha'ir parking lot (near the Azrieli Mall on Lev Ha'ir Street)
  • The parking lot of the municipal pool center on Emek Zevulun 5.

The municipality stressed that there will be increased enforcement in the prohibited parking spaces.
