This year's run includes 6 heats:

• competitive 21.1K (half-marathon)
• competitive 10K
• competitive 5K
• competitive 1.8K (including the Modiin Macabbim Reut elementary and high school championships)
• 1.8K fun run - without time measurement and for runners with special needs
• 300 meter 'Efrochim' heat - for ages 3-7 accompanied by an adult (includes shirt and medal for the child)

• From 05:00 - Gathering, distribution of participant's kits and opening of the expo area
• 06:15 - Start of competitive half marathon (21.1K)
• 06:30 - Start of competitive 10K
• 08:00 - Start of competitive 5K + school teams Yud-Aleph and Yud-Bet Boys only
• 09:00 - Prize ceremony for 5k, 10K and 21.1K, at meeting area
• 09:00 - Start of 1.8K for school teams (boys heh to yud)
• 09:00 - Start of 1.8K for school teams (girls heh to yud-bet)
• 09:15 - Start of competitive 1.8K (heat 1 - Green)
• 09:30 - Start of competitive 1.8K (heat 2 - Blue)
• 09:45 - 1.8K fun run (heat 1 - Red)
• 10:00 - 1.8k fun run (heat 2 - Purple)
• 10:00 (approx) - Prize ceremony for 1.8K, 5K and schools, at meeting area
• 10:15 - 1.8K fun run (heat 3 - Yellow)
• 10:30 - Start of 300 meter 'Efrochim' heat.

Route

The run will start on Emek Dotan next to Holmes Place, continue east towards Maccabim (for 1.8K and 5K races), Emek HaChula and Emek Zevulun (for 10K race) and up to Ligad (for the half-marathon) and back on the other side of Emek Dotan to the finish point next to Holmes Place.

About the Run

The run this year will take place on Friday 25/11/22, with the participation of hundreds of school children from throughout the city, thousands of residents and past and present soldiers from the Comando dividion.

The various heats will meet on the morning of the run at the starting point on the corner of Emek Dotan and Emek Yizrael and run in a circular route in the direction of Maccabim, Avnei Chen or Ligad depending on their heat, and back on Emek Dotan.

Running groups

As in previous years, the city sports department will enable registration for groups to the various runs, such as employees of a local business, sports clubs members, etc.

Groups of at least 10 runners can have the name of their group printed on their shirts. Groups that would like to compete together, in the longer heats as well, can get in touch with the city sports department in order to organize it before the run.

Happening and prize ceremony

During the heats and after them there will be a happening in the Fish Park including inflatables and stalls with sports equipment. There will also be performances by dance and modern dance groups of local sports chugim and Amutat Sachlavim.

Gifts and prizes

• Every participant signing up via the website for the 5K and 10K will get a high quality sweat-resistant shirt.
• Every registered participant will be given a participation medal.
• Refreshments for those attending the event and ice lollies at the finish.

Registration

Registration has started and will close on Tue 15/11/22 at 10:00. Early and discounted registration closes on 7/11 at 23:59.

Each participant signing up for the competitive 5K, 10K and 21.1K will be given a registration pack including a VN running shirt and a special chip for measuring times and distance during the competition.
