Crossroads Communities: Modiin

A welcoming and warm environment for teens to hang out in, the Crossroads Moadon provides weekly activities for Modiin Anglo teens.

In partnership with the Modiin community, the Crossroads Moadon offers teens a fun hangout space with movies, foosball/ping pong, video games, art activities, music and more.

Crossroads Communities in Modiin also offers:

Active outreach: The professional staff goes out into the community over the weekend to meet with and embrace teens.

Free Therapy, referrals and information: Crossroads staff offer free therapy in English, available for both individuals and groups, in the organization's offices as well as in local schools. Working closely with the community, Crossroads Modiin offers referrals for professional help, as well as information for teens and their families relating to challenges that Anglo teens face in Israel.

Job Center: The staff helps with resume writing, job placement and interview preparation. The staff is currently researching employment opportunities that teens can work at after school or over the weekends.

> Teen Summer Programs: The Apprenticeship program allows teens to learn from experienced professionals about careers of their choice, while gaining valuable lessons about being in the workforce. The Summer Activity camp offers teens a part time summer program of volunteering, hiking and activities.

Volunteer opportunities: Volunteer opportunities include working with elderly, special needs and community clean up.

Parents and beyond: Crossroads Modiin provides services for parents of Anglo teens. Services include parenting support groups, collaboration with families to determine needs and reaching out to the wider community for support and resources.

Lectures and supportive services are provided about the complexities of raising Anglo teens in Israel. Topics include academic resources, planning for after the high school years, successful communication and more.
