ModiinApp was started as a small project by 4 friends (three of us live in Modiin - 2 olim and 1 sabra), and quickly grew into the best source for information on local businesses and deals in Modiin. Everything we do is local and authentic. We hope you like it. Get in touch!
Resources for families of people with mental disabilities in Modiin-Maccabim-Reut and the periphery, for all aspects of daily life, information and support.
The Modiin Maccabim Reut branch was established in 2003. The branch management consists of eight members, most of whom are parents of people with mental disabilities. In Modiin, there are about 100 families that are known to have family members with mental disabilities.
Modiin is a young city, and at this stage most of those seeking support are families with young children with special needs. The branch's management works to create frameworks for children and adults that will enable them to stay and integrate them into the community and safeguard their rights.
The branch works in close cooperation with the Modiin municipality, the Matnas community center, youth movements, AMAN youth volunteers, the education / special needs department and the social services department.
The branch offers classes, a mentoring project, lectures for parents, a social club for ages 21+, summer camps during Pesach and the summer vacation, and more.
The branch's goal is to ensure the quality of life of children and adults with mental disabilities in Modiin Maccabim Reut and its surroundings, and to ensure a better and safer future for them, while providing them services within the city.
