Ani Yerushalmi - Children's Musical [Chanukah 2018 in Modiin]

Yehoram Gaon's film "Ani Yerushalmi" and his childhood memories are the inspiration for this original musical, which begins in Jerusalem in the days before the establishment of the State, and ends with the reunification of Jerusalem after the Six-Day War.

This is the story of Yehoram, a boy from the Beit Hakerem neighborhood in Jerusalem in the 1940s, who dreams of being an actor.

His grandfather, who lives in the Old City, loves his little grandson and envisions his glorious future. He shows him the signs that encourage him to follow his destiny. The War of Independence interrupts Yehoram's childhood' and separates him forever from his grandfather.

19 years later, Yehoram returns to his childhood neighborhood, and meets the characters who shaped him, with one difference - he is now the famous actor and singer he always dreamed of being.

The experience in Jerusalem between the War of Independence and the Six Day War is passed on to the audience through the eyes of Yehoram the boy, the youth and later the star, and is reflected on the stage decor in all its splendor.

The classic songs of Yehoram Gaon, passed on from generation to generation, are interwoven in the plot and allow us to feel his presence in every moment on the stage.
