Serological Tests for Children in Modiin

Based on the press release of Modiin-Maccabim-Reut Municipality's spokesperson.
Last Updated: over 2 weeks ago

Please note! Based on the decision by the Education Ministry and Pikud HaOref on Tuesday 24/8, serological tests will be cancelled starting from Wednesday 25/8, meaning there will be no tests on Wednesday 25/8, due to the fact that the number of positive serological tests is low.

For 10 days, from Sunday 22/8/21 until Thursday 2/9/21, the municipality, in cooperation with the Home Front Command, will be conducting rapid and free serological tests for Modiin-Maccabim-Reut children aged 3 to 12 and three months.

The purpose of the tests is to identify children who have contracted the corona virus without knowing it and who have antibodies against the virus in their bodies.

Children found with antibodies will be able to obtain a green pass certificate and will be exempt from isolation in case of contact with a verified person.

Scheduling an appointment is done by pre-registering in order to avoid crowds, long queues and wasting time waiting.

There are 3 testing stations, and you can register at the following links:

Please note! Residents who arrive at the test stations without making an appointment will not be allowed in. Entry will only be allowed when presenting the appointment confirmation on the system.

Some other things that are important to know:

  • The tests are subject to parental approval and will be performed only with an accompanying parent or guardian, and upon presentation of an identity card including the 'sefach' bit. The test itself is a simple blood test from the finger.
  • The tests are not intended for corona recoverers.
  • The results will be delivered to the parents within about 15 minutes via their Kupat Cholim website or app.

The education outline for the 2020/21 school year includes a number of steps to maintain the academic continuum, including finding children who carry antibodies, so that as many children as possible can receive exemption from isolation in the event of exposure to a verified person and avoid losing school days.

Hours
