Arale Kaminsky & The Platina Band with Alon Ole'archik - Live at Heichal HaTarbut Modiin

Jazz celebration in honor of the 80th birthday of Israeli jazz legend Arale Kaminsky, re-uniting with his legendary band, HaPlatina.

Special guests: Alon Ole'archik, who was a member of the band in its' early days, and the gifted guitarist, Yonatan Albalak.

The program includes pieces from the band's original repertoire and especially tracks from their album "Live at the Barbarim" which was first released in 1973 and was recently released again on vinyl!

Yoav Kutner's commentary on HaPlatina: "In the 1970s, there were only a few jazz musicians in Israel who gained proper recognition and success in performances. Against this background, The Platina's career is particularly notable, having received unprecedented attention in its field, recorded three albums and influenced Israeli music also outside of the Jazz genre".

About Arale Kaminsky:

Born in Tel Aviv, as one of Israel's jazz pioneers among the Sabra generation, Kaminsky has been active in the field of jazz since the early 1960s. He founded and managed jazz clubs, including the legendary Barbarim, set up jazz bands, the most prominent of which was HaPlatina, played in various jazz bands in Israel and aboard, and has produced generations of young drummers.

Arale has also played the drums in countless shows, festivals, TV productions and recordings, and the sounds of his drums accompany hundreds of hits recorded by Israel's top artists.
