The story centers on the bug band "The Buggies" and their singer Perla, who get swept into a magical world after a storm stirred up by Nissim, the grocery store owner.

Along the way, the band members take on iconic roles - the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion - on their quest to find the Wizard who can grant them a brain, a heart, and courage.

Meanwhile, Debbie the Bee and her agent Baz try to sabotage their journey so Debbie can take Perla's place as lead singer.

In the end, the heroes discover that the qualities they were looking for were inside them all along, and they make it back home while showing friendship and forgiveness toward their rivals.
