Lag Ba'Omer 2023 - Designated Bonfire Lighting Areas in Modiin

As part of the Iriyah's preparation for Lag BeOmer, see below the areas that have been approved for the lighting of bonfires.

Bonfire lighting will only be permitted in open areas at a distance from city neighborhoods.

Bonfires may be lit on the following days only:

• Sat night 25/5/24 - the actual night of Lag BaOmer
• Sun 26/5/24 - extra date on the day of Lag BaOmer

Designated Lag Ba'Omer bonfire lighting areas on the dates above:

• Open area along Emek HaEla from Yehuda HaMaccabi to Rechov Ya'ar.

• Open area along Emek HaEla from Rechov Ya'ar to the open area opposite the Amnir factory.

During the days of the bonfires there will be increased surveillance by the municipal and security departments. Lighting bonfires in unpermitted areas will not be allowed.

Bonfires lit in unpermitted areas will be put out and the persons who lit the fire will be dealt with and fined by the police.

In areas with a large amount of people and bonfires that may endanger those attending, entry will be forbidden to additional participants and no additional bonfires will be permitted.

Guards will be stationed at unpermitted sites to prevent bonfires being lit.

Please obey the instructions of the fire and rescue departments and act accordingly.
