Information for Local Elections Day in Modiin - Tuesday 27/2/2024

Voting Information
Modiin residents will vote on two tickets: a yellow one for mayor and a white one for the city council, which includes 21 seats.
Maccabim Reut residents will, in addition to the yellow and white tickets, vote on a blue ticket for their district committee members for Modiin Maccabim Reut.
Voting Times
The city will operate 31 voting sites with a total of 119 voting stations (kalpiot). The sites will be located at educational institutions in the city (full list below). The voting stations will open at 7:00 in the morning and close at 22:00.
Accessible Voting Stations
26 out of the 31 voting sites stations in the city are accessible for physically disabled residents.
Accessibility of the voting stations at the schools will be arranged by the municipality with the creation of ad hoc parking areas for cars with a disability tag, and by the placing of voting stations on the entrance floor of the school, to not make the use of the stairs necessary.
Disabled residents will also be able to vote by filling in a declaration (Hatzhara), with no relation to the voting station where they are registered.
This vote is similar to those for soldiers and diplomats, where the voting will take place using a double envelope.
Voting Notice
A notice is sent to all those in Israel with the right to vote no later than 21 days before the elections. The notice lists your name and address, the date of the elections and the details of your voting stations (kalpi), its address and location. It also indicates whether the voting station is accessible to those with limited mobility.
If you have not received your voting notice, contact the voter information center at Misrad HaPnim or go to the Misrad HaPnim website.
What you should bring to the voting station in order to vote
When you come to the voting station you must identify yourself to the secretary of the voting station committee with one of the following identification documents:
- Te'udat Zehut of the voter, issued by Misrad HaPnim, with a picture. The Sefach (appendix) of the Te'udat Zehut on its own is not considered sufficient, and there is no need to bring it.
- Valid Israeli passport of the voter, including picture.
- Valid Israeli driver's license of the voter, including picture, issued under the Traffic Ordinance.
It is not necessary to bring the voting notice to vote, but it is recommended to bring it in order to help the voting station committee find your name.
Who Can Vote?
Anyone born before November 7, 2006, and registered as a resident of Modiin Maccabim Reut in the population registry on the day the voter registry was retrieved. Due to the postponement of the elections, the voter registry was frozen, so even if residents have turned 17 in the meantime, they will not be able to vote in the upcoming elections.
If you are not listed in the voters registry of Modiin Maccabim Reut you will not be able to vote.
Soldiers will vote at the military bases using a blank ballot on which they will write in their vote. In addition, hospitalized residents will be allowed to vote in the polling stations located in the hospitals.
