To mark the 20th anniversary of her passing, musician and songwriter Ariel Horowitz embarks on a unique and moving musical journey through the works of his mother, composer and poet Naomi Shemer, in a series of performances featuring her songs that shaped the Israeli soundtrack shared by all of us.

As a tribute to the fact that Naomi was the first female singer-songwriter in Israel, Ariel has chosen a select group of young female singer-songwriters from the country, who together form "The Shemer Sisters 24" – the house band of the show.

Horowitz, with his characteristic humor, shares with the audience the personal stories behind his mother's songs, and together with the singer-songwriters, they pay tribute to Shemer with contemporary interpretations of her songs, revealing how fresh and relevant they remain today while allowing the audience to join in, sing, laugh, cry, feel nostalgic and sense that "the lost, beautiful and forgotten Land of Israel" so present in Naomi's songs, is not lost after all.

The show "When Mom Comes Here" allows us to embrace Shemer the songwriter while getting to know the private Naomi.

The name "The Shemer Sisters 24" echoes the pioneering women's band that Shemer established in the mid-1960s. Or Edry, Daniel Rubin, Maayan Linik, Nili Fink, and Einat Harel are among the most prominent and original young female singers, songwriters, and musicians of their generation, and together – as the house band of the show – they bring to the stage the revolutionary and fresh feminine spirit that Naomi Shemer brought in her time to Israeli music as a whole.

Naomi Shemer painted us the map of the country – from "Eucalyptus Grove" through "Jerusalem of Gold" to "The White City." She accompanied us in pain with "We Are Both From the Same Village" and in joys with "Wear White," she walked with us to kindergarten with "In Our Yard" and to the army with "At the Nahal Outpost in Sinai."

The audience is invited to sing ***** laugh ***** cry ***** feel nostalgic *** be moved.
