A little background on the Cog-Fun method

Cog-Fun is a cognitive-functional intervention approach developed by the School of Occupational Therapy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and has been in use since 2017.

The approach is recognized by neurologists and psychiatrists both in Israel and internationally, owing to its distinctive methodology and the extensive research demonstrating its effectiveness.

Treatment is divided into four phases:

  • Phase 1: Gaining a deeper understanding of your own ADHD - recognizing that it presents differently in each person. Together, examine how attention difficulties affect your daily life and how you have managed them up to now. This phase takes the form of open dialogue and collaborative inquiry thus deepening your awareness, a necessary tool for strategy development.

  • Phase 2: Exploring everyday situations drawn from your own life, and from these, deriving practical strategies that enable you to function at your best.

  • Phase 3: Learning how the specific strategies you develop can evolve into broader, transferable ones applicable across multiple situations, roles, and areas of daily functioning.

  • Phase 4: Summarizing the process. A very high percentage of clients report meaningful change by the end of the Cog-Fun program - often well before it concludes.
