13/04 : Modiin in 2035 - 2nd Conference[Free]
Come and influence the city's future!
High-rises, extensions for houses and balconies, public transportation, open areas, public institutions - you can have a say on each of these!
The Modiin Maccabim Reut municipality is updating the city's comprehensive master plan up to the year 2035, and is inviting the residents to give their input.
The comprehensive master plan determines the comprehensive planning policy for the city until the target year (2035). The plan defines in general terms the uses of the different areas of the city and determines the rules for the implementation of the rights it offers, in the framework of a detailed plan.
The planning is accompanied by a process of public participation, to take place in several stages.
The first meeting took place during the month of October 2014, when the Modiin Maccabim Reut municipality together with the interior ministry initiated an information sharing evening with residents with the goal of starting to develop a new comprehensive master plan for the city that will determine general planning polices for the city until the target year (2035).
During the last year and a half professionals have held many discussion and planning sessions to implement the information received from residents at the first meeting, as well as meetings with other professionals, including from various government offices and more.
The second information sharing meeting with the public will deal with planning issues for the city, with the participation of the planning committee of the master plan, and as in the first conference there will be a session of smaller group discussions followed by the presentation of findings and conclusions from the evening.
This is a one off opportunity to voice your opinion about life in the city and influence its quality of life!
