02/07-21/07 : Kaytanat HaYaar - Summer 2017 (Ages 5-11 & 12-13)
Three full weeks of experiences in a shady wood in Shilat!
Lobengula the king of Zulu invites all children to a fascinating journey on the continent of Africa! Visit Congo, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Africa, Zanzibar and learn to be like the brave Masai, the hunting Bushmen and the decorated Hamar people. Encounter elephants, zebras, lions, monkeys and Tarzan as well!
Three weeks filled with experiences, getting to know the customs of the tribes, their stories, dancing to the sounds of traditional tribal music, going wild in drumming workshops, creating jewelry for both boys and girls, carving wood, building a straw hut, playing African children's games, glide on the zip line and climb ropes, and when you get to hot go wild and freshen up with water!
Every morning the children will prepare a joint breakfast and on the last night, according to camp tradition, sleep in the forest with a night time activity - a night experience with the families in the camp area.
Ages: Graduates of gan chova - graduates of kita heh. Graduates of vav to zayin who are not yet 14 are invited to participate as assistant madrichim at a reduced price.
The kaytana will take place in Shilat, in the picnic area, with certification from the Education Ministry and all relevant organizations.
As every year, at additional charge, there is an option for transportation based on demand.
Dates: 2-21/7. Not including Fridays except Friday 21/7 after the sleepover - joint breakfast with parents and children after family sleepover at the camp on Thur 20/7.
Hours: 08:15-13:15. Early arrival available by prior arrangement.
