A sweeter than honey, fascinating and enjoyable learning experience for the entire family at HaKaveret - visitors' center for bees and honey production. A wooden building located in Beit Horon, facing a breathtaking view of the hills of Binyamin.
Visitors can see the amazing interaction between bees and plants, and the important interaction between bees and humans.
An introduction to the fascinating world of bees and the importance of bees in the modern world.
The tour includes:
- Informational movie
- Explanation of the beekeeper's tasks, with visitor participation
- Structure of the beehive and the beekeeper's equipment
- Beeswax candle workshop
- Various pollination methods
- Learning about the equipment for extracting the honey and the honey production process
- Jar of honey for every visitor
The center also offers a boutique shop selling beehive products, including: honey from various blossoms, beeswax-based creams, a variety of beeswax candles and more.
Hours
Chol HaMo'ed Pesach, Monday-Friday: 29/3-2/4, tours at 09:00, 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00.
Cost: 40 ₪ per child from age 3, 35 ₪ for adults.
